Constant Game Crash

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Since I've been away from playing LSPDFR for several months now, I downloaded RPH 0.44 and LSPDFR 3.1 this evening.  Now I have a constant game crash that I am running into.  I'll include the crash log; not sure what the issue is and if someone could bring me aware of the issue I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

Hello there - Welcome, and thanks for trying out LSPDFR. We require all members to read the provided ReadMe and User Documentation before getting support. Please keep in mind that this is a beta version of LSPDFR - we cannot guarantee that all issues have been resolved.

You can find the user manual in your LSPDFR Download folder. If you still have questions after reading the User Documentation, review the LSPDFR FAQ; http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/51162-lspdfr-frequently-asked-questions/.

Ensure you have a folder titled "LSPDFR" and "plugins" in your root directory.

  • The plugins folder should contain the following;
    • LSPD First Response.dll
    • A folder titled "LSPDFR"

Ensure that you are running a supported version of LSPDFR. As of 2016-02-22 ONLY LSPDFR 0.3.1 is supported - No LSPDFR 0.2 plugins are supported for LSPDFR 0.3.1 unless otherwise stated

Make sure you have the latest version of the RagePluginHook (LSPDFR 0.3.1 includes RPH 36): http://ragepluginhook.net/

Please do so now and return to this topic when this is done and do the following;

  • Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
  • Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.
  • State what solutions you have tried.
  • State which version of the game you're using (Steam or Retail)
  • Post the RagePluginHook.log in a spoiler tag (Please be courteous and only include the relevant information).
  • Include as much information as possible.
  • Post your system specifications. You need to meet the required system specifications for the mod to work properly.
  • Post what other mods you are using.
  • Post a screenshot of your GTA V Game directory.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LSPDFR dependency and LSPDFR itself.
  • Install these: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 , https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

Failure to follow these instructions may result in topic closure.

Furthermore, there is no need to create a new topic and edit your old one. I've trashed your new topic and moved this topic.

ineseri,

Yesterday I downloaded LSPDFR 3.1.0 as well as RPH 0.44 and a few other mods (traffic policer, arrest manager, ect.).  I also downloaded ScriptHookV and got the latest version.  When I started GTA V , I used RagePluginHook to start it.  The window popped up and the intro went through.  Then Rage came up and said it was loading story mode, populating the world, and then the game crashed to the desktop.  Then I got a Crash Log, and once again I will try and attach it.

After this, I went into the root GTA V directory and deleted everything inside the plugins folder before deleting all of LSPDFR and Rage.  Then I re-dropped LSPDFR, the mods, and last RagePluginHook into the GTA V directory.  I then attempted to download the C++, from the links you provided, but it is already installed on my computer as well as Net Framework.  So once again I tried to start from Rage and the same sequence happened.  Attached is the exact last crash log that I received.  I have been looking up other ways to possibly get past this issue.  Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Dexter11421,

Ok at first I had thought maybe your LSPDFR was installed incorrectly but nevermind about that.  Usually when RPH crashes that hard it has more to do with a model installed incorrectly through Open IV.  Have you installed any kind of model, sound file, siren, texture with Open IV?

Another thing to try as well,  Throw RPH 0.42 over the top of all of that again and let it overwrite.  So basically roll your RPH back a bit.  They have been having a bit of issues as of late with RPH.  I know 0.42 was pretty stable.

Benzo,

First I have to ask if you are the Benzo Effect that I am subscribed to and watch on YouTube.  If so I feel great to get to communicate with you.  Second the answer is yes.  I have replaced all the models of the police vehicles minus the SWAT truck.  I also have replaced the generic in game sirens with a siren pack I found on LCPDFR.com.  I also, with the permission of the author of a vehicle, altered the texture of one of the vehicles I had replaced.  I will do as you suggested and run with RPH 0.42.  Thank you for your help by the way.

So I managed to fix the issue of why RPH was crashing.  I went into OpenIV to take a look and apparently I needed to update a folder.  When the message appeared I clicked update and when I started the game it worked.  And it works with RPH 0.44.  Now I have a new problem and I will include once again the Crash Log.  It has something to do with police radio.  As soon as I deleted all of police radio, the game stopped crashing right away.  Can anyone tell me what the issue is?

Thanks.

Hey Dexter11421,

Yes this is Benzo from Benzo Effect channel.  I know Police Radio is fairly stable. However, have you tried to just reinstall one more time just encase there was a .dll out of place or perhaps there may be an outdated one.  I am currently on RPH 0.42 and have not had many problems.  Occasional crash yes, but not many.  Try either reinstalling the Police Radio or dropping down to 0.42 and Reinstalling Police Radio one more time.   Also it appears that Police Radio and Vocal Dispatch are not playing nice with each other for some reason as mentioned at the end of the crash log.   You could perhaps reinstall both and see how they do again.

Benzo,

Is there any way to just get rid of the vocal dispatch from the police radio?  I did go back down to RPH 0.42 and I get the same crash.  I don't at all need the vocal dispatch if there was some way to get out of police radio.  I am tempted to not use police radio anymore since it is becoming a pain.

I've actually just noticed too that mods like police manager and police radar aren't working either no matter how many times I try and reinstall them.  Not sure if it's a bigger issue that what I think.  The callous work fine, but the other mods aren't.

Personally I would take out every single mod except for LSPDFR.  Play for 15 minutes straight.  Watch for FPS loss or crashes obviously.  Reinstall one mod at a time.  I am starting to notice the more complex the mod the more fps loss I am getting.  Ultimately what worked for me was that I had a back up of my Grand Theft Auto V folder (So essentially a fresh copy of the game)  I made another copy of the folder.  Started real basic and stayed with RPH 0.42 for now as it feels more stable than even 0.44.   LSPDFR runs flawless and the FPS feels great, zero lag.  Once I start adding in my favorites like (Traffic Policer, Arrest Manager, Police Radio)  I am noticing a very slight fps drop.  Then of course I don't need to tell you the more you add the more VRAm and my DDR type ram I am using as well.  I might need to upgrade my GFX and upgrade to 32g of ram....

Sorry that I have not been on in quite a while Benzo to reply to your comment.  I've been busy dealing with daily life.  It's hard to find time to even get on LSPDFR anymore.  I did find something I wanted to ask about and if you need I can take a picture of the message.  Anyway, right after LSPDFR loads after going into a police station, I get a nice little message that says LSPDFR is not the right version.  It shows me what version I am using and what version it needs to take.  I reinstalled LSPDFR multiple times and can't figure out how to fix this.  Can you provide any help?

It's just a glitch, you can disregard it.
