Quick question concerning changing vehicle textures

Featured Replies

Hello,

For the first time I've finally switched out a vehicle texture for one I downloaded (I haven't hopped in game to see if it worked yet >_>), and was curious.  What if we decide we want to use the original texture again?  Do we have to redownload the .ytd?

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

Most likely since you replaced the texture, unless you extracted them original file you replaced.

Thought so, thanks.  Is there a way we can force multiple liveries?  Or is that something only the vehicle creator can allow?

You should be able to do this.. for example, say the default texture name is:

vehicle_texture_01

you could add a second one by doing:

vehicle_texture_02

So then, you'll have vehicle_texture_01 and vehicle_texture_02.

Then, you can go into your trainer and switch the livery.

(Not sure if this works when the vehicle model doesn't have more than one livery by default, but you can try it!)

If it doesn't support multiple liveries, you should be able to add FLAG_HAS_LIVERY into the flags section of the cars vehicles.meta
NOTE: THIS ALSO MAKES IT SO THE LIVERYS SHOW UP IN TRAFFIC.
