Unknown Units

Featured Replies

Hey so I recently took a trip to California. I spent a few days in the LA area. Got some some videos of some strange units that I can't identify. I'll post those soon. Maybe someone who lives in the area or has knowledge on it could help me out. The two units were a white slick top LASD CVPI. The other a slick top LAFD CVPI. I assume the LAFD beige CVPI is some kind of marshal or HR vehicle as it was parked outside a subway station with a PRN (private EMS) ambulance and LAPD detective 2015 Charger. I could find photos on it, but no info. I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!

The white LASD CVPI might me a volunteer unit! :)

That's what I thought at first... But volunteers have stickers stating that it's a volunteer unit. This didn't and I don't think volunteers have slick tops. Good guess though!

Ahhh.... this is a easy question

First off, does it have the 'volunteer on patrol' decal, if yes , then its a volunteer

If not, then it will be a parking enforcement vehicle

the LAPD and LASD have all white CV for parking enforcement so it is probably a parking enforcement vehicle
