A good Snow MOD Please :)

Hello Deputies. ( hears the groans)

Just wanted to put a suggestion /request out for a Snow mod. I know there are a handful of them out there, a few i think on this site and also other gta5 mod sites But so far most seem a little poor or glitchy.

The Snow mod+ snowfall pickup mod by LMS on this site is so far the closest one to a great snow mod. I did try it and it did make the GTA world a wonderful snow setting with falling snow etc. BUT it crashes. A few members have mentioned this in the comments section of the mod but i sadly fear due to the dates of last updates its been abandoned. Its a shame because it was really nice. Other snow mods seem to just change a texture i think because they all have snow even inside the vehicles. But the snow mod by LMS was almost perfect. I think the recent version of LCPDFR crashed with it.

So i was hoping a awesome smart gifted modder could maybe pick up where this left off or make a stable one. The features i would love to see in it are:

Decent layer of snow on everything that it should be on ( vehicles and there windows, buildings, trees etc) , an optional snow fall that can be toggled on and off maybe, Possible heavier weather like a blizzard, tracks left by vehicles ( maybe more slushy cleared tracks on busier roads like highways, Maybe even vehicles that move the snow like authority/services snow ploughs for highways with flashing yellow lights and ideally but i imagine harder to mod would be peds in winter clothes.

This would be so cool.

Thank you , Crim.

I don't think it has been abandoned, I'm pretty sure it relies on the snow Rockstar puts in Online around christmas and new years. Unfortunately they patched that stuff out of the game again early january and it probably won't return into the game code until early december.

Quick question though, what makes you want to put in a snow mod in early July? It's not exactly the time of year for it...

Oh no i just wanted a snow mod in general that i could enjoy playing. It wasnt any seasonal decision for this time of the year in real life. Just something i really liked the look of that LMS made and for the brief moment the MOD worked, it was great looking. It really doesnt matter to me what the weather is like in my real life when i plat GTA LOL. hell, it could be bright sunlight or pouring hard with rain here in the UK and i would still enjoy playing my GTA5 game in a snowy GTAworld. :)

As it has been stated to me so many times, i cant technically save my LCPDFR progress so i guess it makes no difference what the GTA weather is. Its not as if my GTA world is going to have anything at all to do with my Reallife weather.

Do you have simple native trainer installed? There is snow within the weather settings of the trainer.

Good idea ... but it doesn't add snow on vehicles, on the ground, on peds...

Last I checked, "Enable/Disable Snow" did exactly that.

It adds snow to the ground, adding it to vehicles and peds would require remodeling pretty much every asset in the game

Odd, I recall it adding it to the vehicles as well, using the dirtmapping. I'll see if I can dig up some screenshots backing up that claim though.

But LMS's mod that sadly needs updating did put snow on the ground and onto vehicles but not into interiors of vehicles. And he stated there was a 'Togglesnow' command in the console for turning on or off the falling snow. LMS's mod did look great but it caused a error message that froze GTA5. Others mentioned the bug and asked for a fix but i dont think LMS has looked or returned to the mod since 2015. :(
