It's a shame about the price or I'd get one myself, I'm in the market for a 4x4 ute soon, . One of my mates got a pre-loved 2013 Colorado. Pretty but not cheap.

Ever since the Navara came about they've been riddled with problems, a mate has a 90 something diesel model and no bullshit, it does 30 in 4th gear :nuke:. The fourbies I like the most are the Colorado, Ranger, and BT50 (literally Rangers with Mazda badges)

icebreaker.yft Disregard the wheels, I didn't install the handling and it's set up for a granger haha. Moose's model of course.

If I were to buy a ute it would be a Dodge Ram. I just love the look and size of them - but it costs $100,000 to get one in Australia, so i'd probably just go for a Colorado.

Also I finally found a photo of the back of the ambulance territory, so I can update it and make it realistic instead of guessing what it looks like (which I reckon I got pretty close haha)

I've read loads and loads of bad things about the rangers, shame cause it's a nice looking car, Ford has just got problems they cannot recover from, trying to cut budgets means their cars are just nothing but ticking time bombs, my sister is experiencing this with her new Ford Focus.. Got so bad that she's joined a class action lawsuit against Ford. Replacement after replacement parts and cars, the problems just come back. Ford seemed to be a bit slack on their customer service and takes and Ombudsman to get them to do anything under warranty.
I was also told to avoid newer Holden engines but not heard anything bad about the Colorado's.

Isuzu D-Max is meant to be the best and most reliable of the class. I'd never touch a Triton in my life.
Yeah Navara's had issues with their clutches and common rail fuel system since day one, they've only recently addressed issues in this years model (apparently).

Only problem with Hilux's seem to be the chassis splits if you put too much weight in the back, considering I'd only be putting no more than a ~120kg motorbike that doesn't bother me. Engine was so good in the Hilux's they used them in the Landcruiser and Hiace's too. So I think that might have to be my pick if I'm too poor for a newer body Colorado or DMax and the cheaper Navara's and Triton's are nothing but pain in the ass issue bombs.

That's funny because my old man has had two 4x4 Rangers since 2008 or so and never once has he had a problem with either of them. But that really doesn't surprise me with Ford haha. Never had a problem with the Colorado either.

Never even looked at a D-Max probably due to my bad experience with my old Triton 2x4 model which was just pure shit.

One thing remains, you can never beat an 80's series pooie (Patrol) or Land Cruiser, those cars just never break down. Also have the best engines made in them and are virtually indestructible.

Yeah well this guy who told me to avoid newer holden engines has experienced the 'fun' of Alloytec Holden engines so I can understand why he's weary of new Holden (Opal) engines but I don't think he's experienced the Colorado.
Amongst the horrible Ranger reviews I've seen the odd "never experienced any issues", same with those Navara reviews many lucky bastards just never see issues..

There was a point Holden thought they were good enough that they used the D-Max engines in the Rodeo's, think it was the last Rodeo model before it became Colorado. Mates dad has one, solid and goes hard.

You're fucken spot on the money there my friend, I wish we'd see the reliability of those bulletproof things in these modern models. I've half considered getting one of those for a solid car but I'm looking for a newer body.

Hey everyone,

just wondering if anyone can help me out, I've installed the territory in my game but every time I spawn it the light bar is just plain black not red and blue like the photos. When I look at the model in openIV the light bar looks fine. Thanks

Kind Regards,

Did you install all of the files correctly? Make sure to Read the README and follow instructions carefully.

You need to set the car tint to none using a trainer. Moose didn't set the lightbar glass up right so the car tint has an effect on the bar.

Surprisingly the 80's and 90's series are still pretty expensive, I've seen them in mint condition on carsales for upwards of 15 grand and they are 20/30 years old. The only problem with them is younger mechanics don't have any fucking idea what they are doing with them and quite often miss things during inspections and what not. My boss' best mate is a mechanic and says they are the greatest engines to work on because they very rarely break down and mainly just need services.

The early alloytec's had issues with timing chains stretching but I believe it was early VZ and VE? Could be wrong. I drive a trusty ol' VT. The ecotec is bullet proof!

Yeah because it's one of the only cars still running today that you can't simply plug a computer into and get full diagnostics, haha.

Yeah also extremely prone to getting gunked up, shitty low end power.. They just... Made a really bad decision to stop designing and making their own engines at that point. I think that's when they started outsourcing to Opal, it's all General Motors but like.. VZ/VE S1 are Exhibit A of how outsourcing to even a sub company of your parent company ends badly.
I hear that with the bulletproof-ness, pretty low maintenance too. I got a VY, when I get my ute, whatever I decide to get I'm just giving the VY for dad to use till it dies, still got heaps of life in it.

@PgUp bet this is the same problem you were having with the Falcon.

@snit what trainer do you use for your game, a link would be great

@Oblong247 Speaking of Trainers, Menyoo is awesome, you can do everything the simpe Trainer does with a few extras, couple of things I like is you can change police cars engine noise to sound like a muscle car or any other car and still have working sirens and you can edit your cars licence plate,    https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/menyoo-pc-sp

Ok, so now that the thread is back, I have a few things to say.

a. I forgot what skins I was due to make so they have been cancelled. I am free to do ANY Australian Police and/or emergency services skins.

b. @AussieChaos you're making the fire truck right?  I took this image surpriced that it had LED strips on the top corners of the back or brake lights and indicators.Maybe if that isn't already in your model maybe you could try to make it. Not toomuch of a big deal, but yeah you get my point.image.jpeg

Nah I'm not doing a fire truck skin at the moment. Been busy the past week so the skins I have been working on have been put on hold.
