ELS Question for gta5

Featured Replies

I see pictures and Videos of really bright lights , is there a mod for this ? the in-game police lights are not that bright and some car mods are kinda hard to see them flashing.

I have googled this and asked a few YouTubers this , but seems they are just to bus running outue to answer the question. Thank you for anyone that can assist.

You can always just do it yourself, instead of using mods.

Find visualsettings.dat and look for car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on and car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on. I can't remember exactly what the numbers next to them are by default but all you need to do is make the value higher, for example mine are

car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on    1000.50
car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on    600.50

Then simply save the file, and re-import it into openiv and voila!

Muck around with the values until you get something you're happy with.

Oh and I should probably also mention that your post-fx setting should be set to ultra for it to have the best effect, if it's disabled they won't flash bright at all
