Hey, so I was not exactly sure where to post as this deals both with modded and unmodded versions of the game so please correct me if I was wrong.

Anyways I play online quite a bit but I also want to have custom car mods and such, I was planning on making a copy of the game and have a modded and unmodded version.

I would just like to know, is this practical? and if I kept both of them in my steam folder would they interfere with each other?

yep its practical. many of us have two if not three installs.
