GTA IV via Windows 10

Featured Replies

Hey, It's been years since I've played Grand Theft Auto IV, and It's perhaps one of my favorite story-line games.

Is it still possible to play GTA IV (Not Modded) via Windows 10, without tons of crashes? Or has it simply never been updated to operate on Windows 10?

Thanks.

Well I have been using GTA IV recently on windows 10 and I haven't experienced a lot of crashes yet. However there are some crashes but not too frequent. Running with CryENB + LCPDFR.

It works perfectly fine on Windows 10. GTA IV is just a very badly ported game with bad optimization and thus has a higher tendency to crash than other PC games.

I can't seem to find the right thread, so I'm going to post it here. My apologies if this isn't the right place, feel free to slap my hand and move this post. Anyway, I was hoping someone might be able to give me a C# code example for making the player's character open or close a specific door, without entering it or anything. Like in LCPD:FR 1.1 where you can press LB (I use an Xbox 360, Xbox One, or PS3 controller exclusively on GTA IV, so I don't know the keyboard key off hand) to open either of the rear doors, or the trunk, and the player actually plays an animation of opening when the door opens. Also in said code example I need to know how to make the door open without making it spring back to the open position when you bump into it like what the trainers do. It would also be appreciated if I could get some code to figure out how to detect which vehicle door the player is standing next to, because I can't find anything to tell me any of this in any of the documentation. If it's actually there, please tell me where to look. Thanks in advance.
