Yes you have to use live!

You gotta use dsound.ddl

The problem with xlive its its LIVELESS!

Oh yeah, and don't use xlive.dll with dsound.dll, they clash. Delete xlive.dll and install dsound.dll before starting your game.

i took out xlive.dll and it wont connect and when i take out dsound it dont work....

that's interesting....i changed my pw between my vanishing and returning periods, so mine wouldn't, perhaps you 1) need an update, and or 2) perhaps changed your pw to your live at one point in the past and maybe forgot?

then agian somtimes my coumputer will mske a loud noise and shut off when i start the game up....

Check your firewall. GTA may not have internet access.

usually when gta throws a fatal, there's an error code, Example:SMPA60

well when i try to sign in live it would download the profile and then say network connects.when i downloaded lcpdfr i got the basic...
