Does having ADD-ON vehicles impact LSPDFR?

Featured Replies

With having so many great police vehicles out, and only having limited slots, I install them as add-on's.

My question is does having alot of add-on vehicles (not replacement) impact how LSPDFR/ GTA runs? ie if I have 20-30 add-on vehicles, does it impact the game like create lag, crashes, etc.

It will create lag, because the game has to load more things.
It will crash because GTA V isn't designed to do it.
I've never seen anybody with 30 addon vehicles that aren't crashing like 10 mins in, or having around 15fps on one of the best GPUs in the market.

Eh. I have a lot of add-on vehicles and my game's pretty stable. Having plenty of RAM and VRAM definitely helps.

Yep, of course, it does vary person to person. Some seem to just have good luck, others... maybe not.

@Starmix Besides the game having to load more vehicles at the start, what causes it to lag/crash?

Of course adding them incorrectly crashes

Also does installing them in different folders, instead of just one ie xmas help?

It need's to keep them into memory the entire time, regardless of whether the vehicle is there.
It's like the game loading a very small building, it just really depends how detailed the building (in this case, car) is.

Well it doesn't help.. but I've got scripts that spawn in over 40 addon ped cars/planes and 20ish police cars (and replaced all stock emergency vehicles) and rarely get crashes

(only really when accepting a new callout whilst still at a old one with lots of backup spawned in)

could be a lack of Ram/vR
