US Air Force Security Forces (Military Police)

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I just came across LSPDFR randomly and have been watching a few of the vids on youtube lately.  I don't have GTA V on PC yet, but will soon.  In the meantime, I do spend a lot of time drawing in photoshop and began a skin using the Impala template from BXBugs123 of the US Air Force Security Forces (Military Police).  I've seen only a few other similar skins, so I figured I'd give it a shot (since I'm pretty familiar with them).

I've attached the .png file of the skin if anyone would like to use with their BXBugs123 impala.  This is my first skin attempt, so suggestions/comments are welcome so I can figure this out.  Case in point, if I needed to clip the white down to the template or white out the entire page (as I've done) since the base car is all white.  If anyone could test this skin and then screen shot it, that'd be great.

I'll also take ideas for other stripe packages...I've got time to draw here!

I'm pretty sure you don't need GTA to preview templates.

Get OpenIV, make a folder which inside contains a file called "GTA5.exe" that (I think) should trick OpenIV into thinking its a GTA5 folder, then just import the ytd+ytf files, add your texture into the ytd and you should be able to preview your textures.

(Don't quote me on it I've never tried it )

@Cedo Nulli The skin looks good for not having tested it. But it still needs polishing, I took a few screenshots for you and tried to single out some of the obvious problems I saw.

The last three mostly highlight some of the problems I saw, some of them might not be fixable depending on how the model was mapped. You'll see the handles have blue stretched on to them from the skin behind it, the police lettering on the front fenders get stretched probably by the mapping, might have to play with that one so it looks better, the rear just before the bumper overlaps onto the bumper - this might be again an effect of the mapping but if you play with it you might be able to eliminate it.

The last two things I noticed was the alignment on the license plates were off, looks like they're a bit too low, and the decal texturing overall looks very rough up close. I'm not sure why it looks that rough in game, it looks like they're okay in the actual file to me.
