Hey guys,

(If I'm posting this in the wrong place sorry in advance!)

So I've been trying to convert this Audi from a Hungarian Police Car to LSPD, but after making the entire template black the front bumper and roof of the car stays white.

(as seen on the pictures attached)

 

I can change this when changing the primary color of the car, but when I change the primary color (in game) to black, it fades out all the other colors in the car to black (so you can't see the decals)

 

Any ideas on how to change the color of the bumper and roof?

Search through the .ytd files if there's not a texture for the bumper and the roof.

If there isn't, then the model is simply made that way and you can't do anything about it. Maybe changing the color the car spawns with in a .meta file, but can't help you with that one.

Nothing, I even changed all the pictures to black and it still has the white bumper and roof :/

It looks like whoever made the vehicle made it so you could change this however it doesn't look like they Mapped the car correctly. I hope the moderators don't mind but I noticed that the model was unlocked so I went ahead and fixed it for you

 

I DO NOT CLAIM ANY OF THE WORK OF THIS MODEL AS BEING MY OWN. I simply made a Template for the vehicle and Mapped it to the model so that the Roof and Front bumper issue would be resolved to be painted. I do not claim building the model or anything else of that nature.

 

With that being said below is a picture of it in Open IV (Don't mind the wheel that's how the model was made by the original creator). I have Mapped the model completely now with the front bumper and the roof of the car. I created a copy of a black and white one very quickly just to showcase that it is fixed and included it as well.

 

If you find it that you have to change the vehicles color ingame to get the model to show up correctly you need to simply change the carvariation for that police slot to mimic that of police and it should work.

 

Finally the template is included as well. You just need to simply make a copy of it and then perform your work on the copy version. When you are done open the texture file on OpenIV and replace the audi template with the new one you created  This way you will always have the template in case you get tired of your created version and want to make a new one. These instructions are included in the attached readme file.

 

(Note I forgot to template the mirrors but I fixed that with the file now so that they match only the color of the car where it is gray in the pictures. You cannot separate this from the model so if you have a white car that will be white and cannot be changed to a separate color).

 

I've also left the model unlocked as it was uploaded like this. I hope this doesn't break any rules as I just wanted to help is all.

Where can I find the carvariations for police 3?

Also would I just copy everything from "police" replace everything under "police3" and then rename it to "police"?

 

Yes just copy police to police3 and edit. I don't remember where the car variation is but I have a Prius police car on here that uses police 3. Just look for it and download it and it's in the instructions the location
