Recently saw this on a few Police pages on facebook. Had some strong feelings from people on it. Some saying that they shouldn't do it, it was dumb to make it a music video. Shoulda showed real officers being hit or vehicles being smashed into to show the serious-ness. And then some comments saying it was great for them to do that as an awareness video. Thoughts? Feelings?

It's funny, I'll say that.

And it's a good thing they did that too, since ALOT of the older generation of people driving (50+) don't know about this law.

My grandfather was pulled over for it by the PSP (Pennsylvania State Police) recently, who thankfully did let him off with a warning since the law is (basically) new in the U.S.

I don't think we need to see videos of cops getting hit by cars to learn not to do it. The important thing is getting the message out, its not like people consciously speed past a traffic stop because they consciously don't think its a big deal, they just literally don't know they're supposed to move over. As long as the message gets out I don't think there's anything wrong with a music video.
