Calling for backup unit cancels current stop.

I haven't tried this game without the controller, and I suspect that may be the issue...   However, I am having trouble calling for a backup unit after making a traffic stop.  I can pull up the menu, and select the option just fine, but when I press the "A" button on my controller, it also unblips the current stopped car.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to get around this?  Is there a keybind or something that I can change?  Something I can press on the keyboard to call for the backup as opposed to cancelling the stop?

As you said, you simply have to use your keyboard to work around this. Instead of confirming with A (controller), use the Enter key on your keyboard.

Maybe get out of your car when calling backup? It won't end the callout that way.

Much appreciated guy.  I was just wanting to make certain I wasn't overlooking anything..  Will try the Enter key first!

Hmm, seems that the Enter key doesn't do anything.  I must have something toggled somewhere keeping me from doing this properly.  I'm also having trouble pulling up my lookup computer while outside the car.
