YTD and YFT files

I am trying to replace car models with openiv and every car model I download the YTD and YFT files show the notepad emblem. I have googled to find a fix and have not if anyone has any idea how to fix this please let me know!!

It is more than likely that you have set Notepad as the default program to open these types of files. It doesn't actually affect the files as they still keep the correct file type and opening it will either open some sort of text or will tell you that it is unable to open that file type. However as you don't need to open them, this should present no issues when installing the modification.
