I've done the installation process before and it worked fine. But I had a modding conflict with GTA 4 so I basically just re-installed gta 4. (btw it's the retail version)

I tried downloading the LCPDFR mod again with no existing mods or anything but the files that came witht he game and it won't install LCPDFR and gives me an error such as this:

I haven't got a clue what I did wrong and would appreciate any help. I'm a big fan of this mod and would like to play as soon as possible (regular GTA 4 does get boring somtimes). It also upsets me that I've played this mod before without any problems. So, as I've said, any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

This has been asked and explained so often. Next time just please read a bit on the support forum first, you would have found plenty of people with the same problem.

It's such an easy solution:

- Remove "read-only" property from GTA IV's root directory

- Run installer as admin
