Requesting help with Converting

Featured Replies

Right, so I've finally bit the bullet and decided to try my hand at converting some San Andreas cars as there is a distinct lack of them.

So far I'm doing ok, I've managed to detach the windows and import the textures onto the actual model, but when I've tried to do the same method on the rear lights I get this error:

This thread is directed at anybody with any experience with zModeler, Mainly EVI, Kevin or Cj.

I'd appreciate the help, any information would be smashing.

Right, so after successfully detaching the lights / windows, I want to put the model into my game just to see how it looks so far, I don't care if its a completely grey model with no textures at the moment.

Every time I try to import the .wft of the model (which I exported it as prior) SparkIV throws up an error and crashes.

Maybe it needs the textures? .wtd. Not sure. Maybe ask the makers of Spark.

Thats the thing, I saw a member post to the Gallery a few weeks ago of their progress on a new CVPI, the car was completely grey and lacked any textures

"Unable to read"

Might be coding with Spark. Might be an "invalid model" Lemme do a Google Search.

Have no idea. Not a specialist or anything, but it might be something to do with how the model is mapped.

Try importing it with OpenIV.

Hm.. OpenIV had no issues but it seemed to destroy my vehicles.img (no cars loaded ingame)

I'm guessing I'll need to work on the model more before I try again

Do you have all the dummies in the right spot? you need to have atleast all the dummies in the right spot before you can take it in game.
