Mapping emissive lights to match lightbar.

Featured Replies

Greetings everyone,

I'm using a Ford CVPI with a Whelen Edge lightbar and I'm trying to customise the lightbar to what Suffolk County Police Department (NY) has. Well I think I've done a decent job on the lightbar texture (I believe the transparent sectors are supposed to be clear/white), however I'm confused as to how to map the default emissive lights to go with the customised lightbar colours.  If anyone can help explain what I need to retexture it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

Huh, that's strange, for some reason the model is not showing in the viewer... am I doing something wrong?

I don't believe SparkIV actually displays the model in it's viewer for whatever reason, so use OpenIV instead.

AHHHHH I see an issue, I can't put blue on the middle of the rear lightbar because that entire area is traffic directors. Damn it lol, well thank you for the assistance.

Yeah, unfortunately editing the textures can only change so much. It's always a pain when you have a design in mind but you're unable to complete it due to the way the model is mapped.

Glad to be of assistance though. :)
