Vehicle Model Names Broken

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, having a problem with my vehicle names. Whenever I run the plate on a vehicle instead of it saying, for example, VOODOO2, is says something along the lines of '0xe53947' or such. This doesn't happen all the time, every once in a while it will work correctly, but most of the time not. Thanks for any support. Happy patrolling! -Forse

There is another thread with this issue here (http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/56726-vehicle-model-names/?_report=7078#comment-379252)

Try the solution mentioned in that thread, if that fails to work or you're not using other mods (only LSPDFR) then there is no solution.

I suspect the problem is you're using the RPH latest version on the latest GTA patch. We cannot provide support for you as LSPDFR does not support these new releases. LSPDFR 0.2b was built for an older version of RPH, and as always updates to this and the game itself have the potential to cause bugs or problems with LSPDFR.

For the best experience we recommend using the versions LSPDFR was intended for.

Ok, thank you for your help! I will try the solution.

I'm running the old GTA version with LSPDFR 0.2b. Tried deleting the duplicates out of vehicles.rpf, and as far as I can tell, there hasn't been any update to "Police Radio" (despite what the thread says, it hasn't been updated since August). Got the exact same issue.

Okay, nevermind, apparently the update was posted as a separate file :o

Yeah I thought that was a bit odd too. Did new Police Radio fix it for you?

I had to update my entire GTA 5 copy to the latest version, since more and more plugins are being updated to not support the old one. Conveniently enough, LSPDFR Downloads went down at the exact moment I needed to download the updated plugins, so, yeah... I don't know yet :p

Wow that sucks. Well good luck with that, keep me posted. Thanks!

Well, I got it all sorted now, but the problem remains so looks like it's not the Police Radio version either.
