Newest LCPDFR.com update destroys my plugin's description

Featured Replies

Hi;

I just uploaded an update for my plugin : http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/8219-policetoolbox-2-a-new-era-for-policing/ and I ran into very annoying bugs.

  • The text size option sometimes greys out as well as the color option, so I can't edit the size / color of a sentence, though it's a perfectly normal sentence. It also happens when creating a bulleted list, but I can insert lists on regular forum posts.
  • It automatically adds pictures at the end of the description people are not supposed to see here (the last two). I deleted them but they're still there.
  • Moreover, it doesn't save the changes if I modify pictures.

All those bugs make description editing nearly impossible.

Edit : And now, I can't even save changes whatever I am modifying. It just switches back to the previous version when I save it. Rather not convenient :S

I can't say I'm surprised, your description is probably bigger than the pyramids.

I've fixed this for you by recreating it piece by piece.  I left some of the old stuff at the bottom out to cut down on the size of it.  Please, please, please now that the editor is working again can you work on cutting down the size of the description.  I've PMed you the original description.

Alright, I'm sorry, but even after cutting down the size of the description, it deleted my pictures and automatically added two pics at the end people aren't supposed to see here. One of them was submitted by someone in the comments section and it appeared at the end of my description, and it stays here when I try to delete it.

Options like spoilers and bulleted lists are still greyed out.

I guess it doesn't like the changes you're making to it, as it worked fine when I remade the description for you.  I'll look into it further when I get the chance, but the best thing you can do right now is probably just to redo the description.

If you copy the current description and paste it in a new window, you can then copy it over bit by bit, checking that it still works each time.

So, I played with the editor a bit, and it appears that while copy-pasting works perfectly fine, everytime I added a new sentence, picture or changed the color of a text, when saving the editor reverts back to the old version. It doesn't save any modification I make, even a line break.
