First time GTA player and LCPDFR

Featured Replies

Whats up everyone, unfortunately my first post is in the support section but im in need of some help! Found a video of this mod on youtube, and went out and got the game last night and the mod. Ive never modded GTA before, or played it on the PC so this is all new to me. Installed it last night, and it crashed before starting and now im doing a fresh install of the game and mod. I have a few questions before so i can avoid doing it again. (missed a step the first time)

What im doing:

Install GTA IV

Update to v. 1.0.7.0

DL LCPDFR and install.

Run as admin.

I have all the windows updates needed

Do i need a scriphook or anything else other than the LFPDFR and the updated game to have this work?

Sorry if i sound like an idiot but i have no idea what a scriphook is or does, i just see people posting about these things and wanted to ask.

Thanks for the help, you guys make a kick ass mod!

My honest opinion: don't bother with the mod if you can't even install GTA IV or update it.

Not really kind words there :(

Positive thoughts.... Positive thoughts :)

As always, there can be issues. As long as he/she has okay PC Specs, a compatible version of Windows, and a legit copy of GTA IV/EFLC, nothing should go wrong. Including all of the other things LCPDFR needs to run. But yeah, stay positive. A year ago I didn't have a clue about using GTA IV on PC or even having mods. Using open resources I managed to fix several issues. For example: Crahing every 10 minutes (Clip Capture OFF fixed it), mod not starting (upgraded Patch), and many more issues all solved from searching. So using the LCPDFR members for help and a search browser should help you find and fix issues. So hybrid3030, don't worry. You should be able to get it working if you have done everything correctly.

Thats right. There are several users that post on Youtube how to install the mod, and how to fix it :) So im sure you will find the path hybrid3030 :P

But i, tired of all the negative comments every time some newcomer ask a question in here.. At least from people that has Developer and Community Member titles..

Even though you get tired of simple and sometimes stupid questions, well.. Keep the cool, and see the positive in helping newcomers nevertheless.
