Need Recommendations for headset

Featured Replies

I am looking for something I can use while gaming as well as listening to music, Would prefer to keep it at or under $100 but willing to exceed to $150-$200

Want something that has an option for headthumping bass either by force feedback vibration or subwoofers if thats possible.

For something compact and portable, I would recommend some SkullCandy Smoking Buds- they have some pretty serious bass, and last a long time. And they're only twenty bucks at Best Buy.

but idk

You can have a look at some Razer headsets, they're pretty badass. I used Razer Carcharias for a while, they're only 2.1 surround sound but the sound quality is pretty awesome (with a bass option), Kraken Pro are good, they're 7.1 (haven't used them myself).

If you can afford it.. i'd go with Razer Tiamat 7.1. they're bulky, but their sound quality is also awesome, they have options for bass aswell.  the Kraken and Tiamat are expensive, but they're definitely worth it.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

The Tiamat looks interesting, but I run into the problem of plugging it in and unplugging them from the back of my computer when I just want to use my speakers, is there a simple way to switch between the headset and my speakers?

I have the Kraken Chroma, I'd definitely recommend it for the audio quality (although I'm not one to go to for advice on audio). However, if you wear glasses, they might start to hurt after a while. They have a tight fit, especially if you have a big head.

You can set up macros to switch between them. It's a bit complicated though.

I just saw the video on Razors Tiamat page and it shows you can hook up speakers to the control pad and switch effortlessly between headset and speakers.
