I'm trying to change police2, and police3, to the stanier (or now Crown vic) so they can have the right lightbars, animations, whatever.

So what files do I have to change? Like do I copy the stanier's handling.meta and replace it over police2's handling.meta or vehicles.meta?

Here's what I do...

When I am trying to replace "Sheriff" with a crown vic, I open the modded vehicle file, in which it now has three files (Police.yft Police.ytd Police_Hi.yft). I then right click on the files and rename them "Sheriff.yft Sheriff.ytd Sheriff_Hi.yft". Then, I replace those files in Open IV. Never had a need to replace the handling files personally. I hope this helps, let me know if you need further assistance. 

 

EDIT: Some of the vehicles need to be replaced in several places. For example, "Sheriff" files need to be replaced in x64e AND Patchday3ng or you'll still see the default one. Police does not, and I don't remember if Police2 does, but I'll check if you need me to.

Yes, but I  need to change the handling/vehicles.meta/etc. to have all my cop cars as the crown vic (or original staniers stuff)

I need someone to tell me what to change.

probably yes, otherwise the handiling might be wonky.... Police2 might be to fast, but as i have never driven a crown vic i do not know how fast they should go. you might not have to replace police 3 because they are somewhat of the same shape, or size. but yes i would replace police1 with police2
