Missing Street Names Under HUD Minimap

Featured Replies

I use to see street names under the HUD minimap. Now I no longer have them in singleplayer or multiplayer games. I have uninstalled all the mods that I had been playing with since this stopped working. I also checked the in game settings and didn't have any luck in there.

Are you using ELS again or no?

Also, This doesn't belong in support, belongs in GTA IV discussion, possibly GTA IV Misc mods/Gameplay, for now, it will be put in discussion, moving thread...

Thanks for the move.

I have tried with and w/o ELS and I am still missing the names. Also my game is crashing randomly now so I think I just need to do a fresh install.

ELS V6 adds that function, you might have changed the setting for it in the ELS.ini file:

DisplayLocation = 2 // 0 Off / 1 Only on with info. panel / 2 Always on when in a vehicle

Setting it to 1 will only show the location when you have the ELS menu open (where you change light patterns), setting it to 2 should show it whenever you're in a vehicle.

As I stated at the very beginning, only ELS V6 has that function, if you're using ELS V5 or earlier, you won't be able to see your location.
