Refined Police Ped Driving AI Request

Recommended Posts

One thing I find very annoying when playing LSPDFR is that whenever I call in a backup unit for a pursuit, they always drive at 100000000 miles per hour ramming and plowing through everything in their path with no regard for safety whatsoever. They are even just as likely to pit the player as they are pursuing the suspect as they are to pit the actual suspect. The mod I would like to see someone make is one that makes the police ped drivers less aggressive and more "realistic" or just more sensible, when it comes to how they drive.

I believe LSPDFR controls their behaviour.  As they did claim to use custom AI.

I really do agree with you and hope that they can calm them down a lot more (to a realistic level) in future updates.

I feel like a mod from anyone other than G17 will cause conflicts/issues.

Its not a good idea to do that, if anyone remembers the vanilla cops in GTA 4 they took corners sooooooo slowly you usually lost them, that would end up being the case i would presume

TBH i sorta like the blues brothers behavior of the cops

The problem with this is that in GTA V the AI cops' vehicles (as far as I know and understand) use sports car handling. That's why they get the annoying "speed boost" the player doesn't get. I think at some point there will be a way to disable that and make the AI drive with the proper non sports car handling, so they look like they drive CVPI's and not Maseratis.

The interceptor doesn't get the boost which is weird

it has the boost so that the cop can keep up with the player in vanilla otherwise most high end cars would lose the cops WAAAY too easily
