Windows 10 Game Bar

Featured Replies

For those of us that have upgraded to Windows 10 you may have noticed the Windows 10 Game Bar. It provides you the ability to record your game play and take screenshots. I personally tried it out and I didn't notice a FPS decrease or increase it was the same. That is good because that means you can easily record game play and not suffer from it. It won't work in Grand Theft Auto V is in full screen so you need to adjust the settings to 'Windowed Borderless'. To open the menu on the keyboard press the Windows Key + G. If you are using a Xbox 360 controller simply press the Guide Button. I think this has potential and could turn into something pretty darn cool. Let me know what you guys think below!

Spelled pretty as preety.

Definitely has potential and will help out with people who do not want to purchase third party gamecapture software. Maybe microsoft will add more features overtime, but it is definitely better than using third party software that slows your game down.

Well if you have a NVIDIA based GPU you have access to ShadowPlay which is free and what I use if I need to record.

If you have an AMD GPU you can use the in  AMD Gaming Evolved integrated capture function (Similar to Shadowplay)
And as I know theres a capture feature in MSI Afterburner too.

This windows feature really looks cool, but you should compare quality and data size too

While that is 100% true and is a very useful tool, some people(including me) have issues with it recording and I have tried every single thing I can do to get it to record, but it refuses to start when I hit the hotkey. I've looked up solutions regarding this issue and others have had the same problem but haven't managed to find a solution, either way if I can eventually get it to work of course it would be the better option as of now.
