So I was watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGpp1GXkGv8 and I was trying to add car mods which I think is when I just add a car that I want to the game and I got to the part of the video at 7:27 where he goes into vehicles.img. When I click on it it says this file is corrupted so I don't know what to do. Is there another way to add cars or to fix this? I was trying to add this thing called Spark IV so I clicked add to and then tried to find the vehicles.img but it was corrupted. Mine is a little different though mine just says vehicles but not sure if that would make a difference. If anyone could please help it would be very appreciated.      Thanks in advance.

Try putting the vehicle files you downloaded to replace a different vehicle from what you are replacing now. If that does not work, delete the two files in the vehicles.img you are replacing and import the ones you downloaded. If that does not work, try using the default vehicles.img and then import the vehicle files you downloaded. If it still isn't working try reinstalling OpenIV.

Try using the default vehicles.img, if it doesn't work, then you need to reinstall openiv.

If vehicles.IMG is corrupted then you will have to reinstall IV.

OpenIV* because I once ran into this problem but all I did was reinstall OpenIV.

 

No, Can you access vehicles.IMG? If it throws a error sayings its corrupted, you need to reinstall IV, NOT Open IV, Open IV is working fine.

Oh, cause I just reinstalled it and used a clean vehicles.img file and it worked fine.

So I am resinstalling gta iv and I just downloaded lcpdfr 1.1 manual .rar and I noticed that the files are corrupt in lcpdfr 1.1 manual .rar. What do  I do? When I manually install do I just not replace the folders in gta iv when putting the LCPDFR files in? Also now the folder models.img is corrupted when I download LCPDFR 1.1 manual install.rar. So the whole folder. So everytime I install LCPDFR  that folder or the files in it are corrupted. I am guessing that I just don't replace any files when maually installing LCPDFR or do I just not replace that certain folder?

 

Also what is open IV? I just open gta IV in steam. I install LCPDFR in steams steam apps.

Update: just reinstalled GTA IV and the GTA IV vehicles file is corrupted still. is this the only way to put new vehicles in the game?

Only way.
Open IV is a file opening tool for GTA IV/V and some other games.
You need Open IV to replace vehicles, What are you trying to open it with?

all I do is go to computer steam, program files x86 steam apps, common, Grand Theft Auto IV, GTA IV, PC, Models, Cdimages, and then I double click vehciles and then this comes up "Couldn't Mount Files- The disc image file is corrupted"

You need to open it through Open IV.

You would use OpenIV for every mod besides ENB's which enhances graphics but it is recommended for better graphic cards.

also another question. I was trying to install ELS mod but when I went into open IV it wouldnt let me drag and drop ELS files to the directory so I just installed ELS without Open IV. Anyone know why this happend or what to do?

When installing ELS, just drag and drop the files you downloaded into your "Grand Theft Auto IV" directory located on your computer. Do not try putting it in through OpenIV.

Any file modification should be done with Open IV.

Every other mod should be inststalled through Windows Explorer.
