North Yankton Police Vehicle Suggestion! [PLEASE READ]

Featured Replies

Hello Community Members!

I personally think this is a great idea, but will keep it short and sweet. I don't know how to re-texture any vehicles, but I do have many suggestions on the table for re-texturing. One of my ideas that stand out the most is the North Yankton Vehicle idea. Instead of the vehicle having snow all over, the snow could be removed so we could drive it around in Los Santos. It could also be re-textured so it doesn't have the North Yankton logo, and instead the Los Santos logo. We can spawn in the vehicle now and still drive it around Los Santos like a normal cruiser, but it looks silly with the snow and North Yankton vehicle.

Some people will ask "What if we want to patrol North Yankton?" I want to go right ahead and mention that there isn't much to patrol in North Yankton. It is primarily 1 major road and a couple of side-roads which you can drive on. Not to mention the low-quality buildings once you're in an area you're not supposed to be in, the parts of the map you can fall through, and the invisible walls around the map. If you wanted to patrol North Yankton, you could also simply have a backup file with the North Yankton Cruisers.

In conclusion, I think this would be a great idea because we could drive those amazing-looking cruisers around Los Santos. The reason I thought of this is because of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas with their police cruisers. These 2 cruisers made me think about this, and how they are similar:

Hope for positive feedback, and possibly someone does this! If you're reading this, I would really appreciate it if you could spread this around. Thank you very much.

But I love snow! I want to patrol in north yankton with snow)

You could still patrol with snow if you keep a backup. It would be cool to use them in Los Santos, too instead of being restricted to just North Yankton. (Realism-wise)

I have also thought this upon discovering the NYSP vehicles in the loader of LSPDFR.  Texturing certainly wouldn't be a problem, but I see these vehicles becoming modded for Los Santos use soon after abilities to modify models are discovered.  This would be necessary for removing the chain-tires, and now drift mesh on the roofs of the vehicles.  I'd certainly like to experiment with the texturing of these vehicles, and maybe leave the snow drift textures transparent (so they do not appear on the model in-game), and that would only leave the chain-tires.

It will come I'm sure, you and I are not the only ones who crave this, I'm certain.

Best of luck!
