(TEXTURE) Los Santos Sheriff vehicles

Featured Replies

Greetings,

This is my first post here and my first GTA V texture, I want to get feedback on the texture that I created for the Los Santos Sheriff's Department in GTA V. I was a little sad of the lack of Sheriff textures available or those that had the right appeal so I made my own and would like some input from the gracious community. I also didn't really like the all white vehicle approach I wanted more depth to the vehicle look. I enjoy and do computer graphics in my spare time (FYI)...

Crown Vic is all dark-brown with hi-res text graphics and badge / badge has 'Sheriff' on top and on bottom 'Los Santos County' and just below LS County is 1889 the year.

Granger/Tahoe is two tone black/dark brown with same badge/text scheme.

If the community feels this is a good touch and appeal I can post the files up for download. Thank you everyone.

Thank you OfficerLund, appreciate the comments.

I noticed two locations where the vehicle graphics were located, of those two, which one does the game pull it from. I ask this because there is a vehicles.rpf in the dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf and the second at x64e.rpf/gta5/vehicles/rpf

Both have the same models and texture mappings.

Anything in the original files that came with the game will be overwritten by the same entries in the Update folder. So if any one of the patchday "dlc" packs contains new entries for a vehicle, that will be what the game loads, and in that case it will be the latest patchday files.

Okay makes sense, then that is good, when I released the textures in the downloads I included to install textures in both paths, worked for me. Thanks for the notice.
