Music in Police Vehicles

Recommended Posts

I must say I really enjoy playing LSPDFR, especially with Finkone's Police Radio installed!
Even if the mod at this state is consisted mostly of driving around and doing cop stuff, it is exciting and encouraging to see what can be achieved in such a short time!

However, the "driving around" bit gets a little monotonous after a while and i would think that adding the ability to play the ingame radio in police vehicles would help resolving this little "issue".

I realise that it was intentionally left out by R* due to realism reasons (whereas I don't see any reason to enable the radio when riding motorcycles, then).
However, IRL I think police officers are allowed to play the radio on duty on a low volume so as to be able to still hear the police radio.

My question now is: Is there a simple way to achieve this by editing some files with OpenIV, like there was in GTA IV?
If not, can it be done with a script mod? Maybe that would even allow to automatically turn the volume down when there is a relevant announcement in the police radio.

Perhaps, such a script could even be added as an optional function of a future version of LSPDFR!

What do you think? Any ideas or suggestions?

Radio mod in a police car and by walk already exists. You can google it and find it quickly. If you want some special mod for the police - then will have to wait.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I know such a mod exists. It has several problems, though:

1. There is a keybind conflict with the key for taking cover when on foot
2. I don't want to listen to the radio when on foot, I want it to be more integrated in the "ultimate police simulation" LSPDFR aspires to be one day.

I guess using the mod you suggested offers a solution in the meantime, but i would like to see it as a feature of LSPDFR one day.

Alright, thanks for your answers.
When the time comes and a feature like that is not implemented yet, I will suggest it again.

Until then, I am really looking forward to "wasting" my weekend on 0.2 when I should study for my exams... :D
