LCPDFR mod not working...

Alt+P dose nothing...

Win7SP1 32bit

I bought the GTA IV DVD retail game, the game had to be patched because the social club server is off line. And so it was..

GTAIVPC_OfflineInstaller.exe (updates the SecuROM final install after activation), title_update_7_EN.exe (removes the social club. the server is no longer available for this), gfwlivesetup.exe (reinstate the WindowsLive program for GTAIV without the need of the social club), Without these files the game will never start. there is no getting around it.

after all is said and done and installed, game works fine, onto the next thing, LCPDFR..

these things were installed, dotNetFx45_Full_setup.exe, vcredist_x86.exe ( I already have them from 5 through 13 installed), everything works fine.

I installed 1. LCPD First Response 1.1 Installer.exe ( I have to use the xlive.dll because the , dsound.dll is rejected at game start up right away).

The game starts, ingame there is a second pause, the runs fine, but alt+P dose nothing, but the game is running, and able to save in offline mode. I uninstall it and go by means of the

3. LCPD First Response 1.1 Manual Install. The results are the same, I uninstall and re-install with the 1. LCPD First Response 1.1 Installer.exe, the results are the same.

I fallowed the manual install guide to make sure all is in order, and it is. Using the 3. LCPD First Response 1.1 Manual Install as a visual guide to see if all the files and folder were present and in order, and they are. No log are available, the game never crashed. The diagnostic tool states...

"Failed to resolve d3dx9_43.dll from C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\ScriptHookDotNet.asi"

Popup up solution is "One or more components required to run ScriptHookDotNet are missing, Please check the logfile for details.

There are no log file present, the trouble shooter shows everything is in order but this, it also says the ScriptHookDotNet.asi is valid. I am not sure what could be missing, I have placed a pic so you can see what is installed in my program list. I read the other trouble shooting guide, but nothing there is related to my current issue, and it states to make sure the hook files, are in place, and they are.

The game still dose not respond, but still saves the start location offline mode. The diagnostic tool states that everything is working. Ingame in the upper left corner a message temporary pops up saying, script error in LCPDFR loader script. I re-named the xlive.dll and installed the dsound.dll and it still crashes at startup, says it can't write a log file. I set everything that is read-only and turned it off, but states the same. removed the dsound and rename the xlive has no bearing. The message popup up in the game ref to the script error is the same.. The diagnostic tools was test on the dsound.dll and it states everything is working too. So diagnostic tool wise, everything is in order no matter what file I used. I even deleted the first saves to start a fresh start, I know some games tend to save more information than just a player location. The results are the same. This is the config layout, Abraxa's Police HQ is not checked because I do not have it installed, can not find the mod any were. Just the police helper. So I figured it should not have any bearing on the LCPDFR mod.

Ok I got it, I saw someplace to run the game as administrator. When I did this, the LCPDFR program text "load successful" Now I had access to the police station and a tutorial to fallow, so I'm in. I thank you for the help you provided. Can't wait to see how this is going to go..

UPDATE....

Mod rules, been in the game for hours, even added in Abraxa's towing mod, real nice emersion all together. Well done guys. I wish the "E" key could be re-mapped so it was closer, to my directional arrows, but how well the mod is working and game wise performance, that is just little stuff to be ignored, once again thank you..

You can remap it for keyboard and gamepad in the LCPDFR.ini file.
