Cant go on duty....

Recommended Posts

Well guys i hate to have to do thit but this is honestly my last resort and what its come down to.Im pretty sure ive looked everywhere and just cant get the anwser, I just installed GTA IV on my new computer today through steam, i installed LCPD:FR 0.95 RC2 R2 and a few other mods, i can sit here and say everything works EXCEPT LCPD:FR and the Indicator script. The other mods i have are ELS v6, SNT, and traffic flow. They work fine, but ive re installed LCPDFR numerous times and its still a no-go. I start the game and ALT +P just does nothing. i ran the diagnostics tool and it came back everything okay, look

I think you have to disable keys with SNT as there is a conflict.

If that's not the case;

Diagnostic looks fine but please answer some other questions;

When you are pressing alt-P, are you actually ingame and playing a loaded save?

Have you completed a couple of missions in that saved game before attempting to activate the mod?

When you are ingame playing the loaded save, what happens if you press the ` key (top left of your keyboard). It should open a console up.

Are you sure you are holding the left alt key down and pressing the p key while doing so?

What if you press ctrl and P or ctrl and f12? These are keys to force duty - does anything happen when you press these?

In C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonGrand Theft Auto IVGTAIVscripts folder are there files like firstresponse.ini and firstresponse.net.dll?

First i want to say thank you for your response, and heres the answers.

I am in the game walking on the street when i hit Alt +P

i completed the first one, with a save, so when i start i just walk right out to the street.

i havent tried to press the ` button yet but i can and i will get back to you on that.

yes i am holding the left alt down and pressing P, even tried the right alt...nothing.

ive tried ctrl p and it hasnt done anything but i havent tried ctrl f12..again i can go try that and let you know what happens.

and yes both of those files are in there.

Anything else you need to help just let me know and ill get you the info...

I think it is to do with SNT, there's just something to do with the keys for it that causes a conflict but I'm not 100% on the fix as I don't use it myself. I just know that I've seen people talk about disabling something in SNT so they can activate the LCPDFR mod. I'll see if I can bring it up.

edit:

Okay I think if there is a configuration file for SNT or it's in the trainer's ingame options you need to select 'Disable Bindings' and then save/apply that changed setting.

Uninstall ANY MOD other than LCPDFR, we do not provide any support whatsoever when people are using other mods as they can interfere, uninstall any mod you may have installed and try again, we can't/won't help you if it works when on a clean install of IV, but fails when other mods are used, you'll have to troubleshoot that yourself.

Ugh unfortunately even after doing that its still not working, i uninstalled the .NET framework that i had and downloaded the one in the support topic and still nothing...took other mods off and its still not working. I dont think i have the right files in the ROOT folder, like the scripthook and the advanced hook? maybe their out dated? i just dont know because ive tried so many different versions of them cause non would work and im still having a problem.. its as if the mod isnt even there but it all is, exactly where its supposed to be.

Uninstalling .net framework 4 will not help you at all. It is required to play LCPDFR.

download and install this: http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=17718

No i know i did, i uninstalled what i had and then downloaded that one. And still nothing :/ ill run a diagnostics again and ill post it here if it helps?
