I wonder if you can help me, I have recently reset my whole computer and now I cannot get ELS to work in my game. I have tried everything I can think of from fresh installs to downloading different .dll files. I could really do with some help!

So sometimes when you import ELS, you cant just do the main ones, you have to do all of the files that come with the mod even if they already exists in your game folder. Hopefully this fixes your problem

​hello Luigi. okay it would seem that you are using ELS v8.0 from what i am hearing. The ELS v8.0 is outdated and the Advanced Hook will not work right with the current version of LCPDFR. What i would do is make sure you have a fresh installation of the current version of LCPDFR and then install ELS v8.5. Both have the updated version of Advanced Hook.dll

If you would prefer to use ELS v8.0 instead of v8.5 simply install everything EXCEPT the Advanced Hook. The Advanced Hook in your GTA IV folder should be dated 01/02/2015 when you are done :) i hope this helps a little bit.

​I am using a clans mod pack with 8.5 in, I have tried dragging and dropping a fresh 8.5 over and it did nothing!

Have u thought bout uninstalling your cars then reinstalling els? Did u put the cars in after you had els installed? I know its dumb question but are the cars u using made for els v8.5?

​i have been bangin ma head on the wall trying to figure this out. there just aren't many solutions without complete re installs. double check your ELS folder and make sure there is both a default control and slot control inside. make sure that inside slot control beside the vehicle is looks like this:  Status=Yes

also double check your main GTA IV folder that there is an ELS.ini file and ELS.asi file. make sure that if you are using ELS8 that the cars you are using were made for ELSv8 and not another version.

if we cant figure this out i'll find someone way more knowledgeable to help. what other mods do you currently use?

Okay so basically you didn't really give any more in depth to what's going on with your game so no one can really help you and figure out the problem. We don't even know if you're able to run ELS for a little bit and then crash unless that's what you're talking about but it's really complicated to figure out what's going on with the situation. All I can tell you is of you have a lot of poly vehicle you will crash faster when they're spawned. Pretty obvious even though you should know that already. If you can play your game for a certain period of time, but then it crashes then that means you have a file that isn't needed in which causes your game to crash. I would also recommend looking at other peoples topics and finding a person that has the same problem and solve it on your own in which won't make this topic last forever

​Ini-Files named correctly in the slotcontrol.ini inside the ELS-folder?

Do you have both of these installed?
