Sheriff Department Textures (+ bonus USCG predator)

Featured Replies

After being inspired by Yard1's work in this area, I have created a  HQ package with GTA "in-game universe" livery. This pack includes all the files you need, (textures and model files) to fully update your game with a bit of colour in the countryside...

Unit numbers have been assigned to not conflict with the LSPD units (such as a chase between areas)

'missing' textures' in the Sheriff Maverick have been located and are present in this pack.

Includes bonus USCG predator for the water babies.

nb. until we are able to modify car files and proper texture mapping is available, the sheriff cruiser's door decals are compromised (simple flipped only)

*** UPDATE *** The 'bonus' textures are ready first (the coastguard ones) ;)  If you haven't already used Yard1's coast guard update, these are based on them, but more in canon with the GTA style than based on reality. Will update the vest patch for the coast guard ped's at a later point, I'm concentrating on vehicles at the moment.

Installation: please refer to Yard1's guide, the .ytd files go where his do! (the .png is for your reference only)

Thanks - thought the mermaid was appropriate! The cruiser isn't possible (yet) due to the R* texture mapping not supporting two-tone colour scheme AND double-door decals... I would actually prefer the stanier for the sheriff cruiser, leaving the interceptor for SAHP. I'll give it some time for the tech bods to enable vehicle editing!

Like I said on the other site, great work on that Interceptor. Since you mentioned the door mapping issue, one solution could be to place the LSSD badge logo on both sides of the text, if it would fit well enough.

OpenIV to extract, Photoshop, GIMP or various other programs. A lot of trial and error and simply working within the space the existing content was and checking it every time. That's what I would guess.

So my question is what texture changes the SUV black texture. Because I edited all the Sherrif2.ytd textures into white which is what I want and in game it doesn't change. Am I missing something?

Are you using this file: update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday3ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf?

R* made updates to several police related things since release, and since the update files will superseed the base files, you'll have to change those instead.
