Is that some US president candidate we haven't heard of, otherwise it's a stupid name.

No it's a criminal in Africa who's been abusing children, he uses boys to kill other innocent people and girls for sexual purposes.

Allow me to go on a rant:

People seems to assume that everything the read on the internet, especially when it's presented in a way that seems to be journalistic to be the true, some even assume it to be the absolute truth, this is almost never the case, any media source will have some form of bias, whether it's for a specific political party, a political movement, or a third demographic, so they will present their material in a favour of their bias. A good example would be "Fox news" for the Republicans (they seem to be a comedy network, it's hard to tell) and Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert for the Democratic and/or "Libertarians" ( Ron Paul seems to be one, even though he's republican all-through).

It seems that the "youth of today" aren't taking this into consideration, especially on the internet, they are seemingly willing to believe anything when it's presented in a factual manner, the sheer amount of people that relies on Wikipedia for encyclop

@NicolaiB's big ass wall of text

From my research the crimes commited by Kony are true, although the charity company behind it "Invisible Children" manipulates it seeming like there's completely no hope if we don't do anything while action is currently being taken by the government of Uganda against Kony. Saw their site yet? They put a donate / buy an action kit on top of the website, and if you submit your email it will probably send these links to buy junk to your inbox. Alot of people have been manipulated on Twitter already, if you take a look at the Trending List. My advice: if you've to take action against Kony, don't buy shitty products from the Invisible Children store, but infact create a petition or whatever. Or see this post to take action: http://whitthef.wordpress.com/2012/03/07/kony-2012-part-2/

Thx for reading :D

Be as it may, Joseph Kony has been known to recruit children to commit horrible crimes for a long time. It's strange that people are currently spamming the internet with this crap while he has been doing as he pleases for years and the main stream media didn't pay much attention to it then.

"Dura lex, sed lex"

From the video i saw on facebook, the U.S Government did not care about the situation in Uganda, if it's not a scam then i support what they are doing, no child nor family should have to be afraid of being raped, murdered, tortured, abducted or killed.

The scam lies in IC trying to profit from this, as well as that videos credibility being very low.

To be honest, after seeing all those KONY 2012 posts popping up, I thought he was some sort of Internet crusader vying for the presidency in the U.S. While the video itself was probably one of the most convincing "cause" marketing videos I have ever seen, except maybe that Dodge commercial in the Superbowl with Clint Eastwood, and even that was kind of indirect in the marketing, not many factual sources were listed of his crimes, backing up the claims he made. I'm not even sure if this is a full underhanded business scam, as their website is focused primarily on knowledge, rather than donation.

By the way, how did this video become viral so quickly? As I look through all of his other videos, the one with the most views has 20,000 of them. Heck, even a slice of your videos ham ave a lot more views than the causes' best non-viral videos!
