New Computer, is it good?

Featured Replies

That PC is fine, but only if you plan to upgrade it in the future. Its fine now as it is, but the new Radeon and GeForce graphics series are being rolled out (the former basically done, the latter not started yet), and new games in the future may be tailored towards those GPUs. If you don't want to or can't upgrade your PC in the future, I would suggest waiting a few weeks to a month to buy a PC with a Radeon HD 7870 or 7850 when they come out, as they are much more powerful than the Radeon HD 6870, although for GTA IV, the 6870 is fine.

  • Because we don't like buying parts that were already sub-par when they came out, and are now a generation behind (in the case of your 6770).

The 6800 series is the same thing as the 5800 series from a couple of years ago, it just has better power management. AMD had a real change in architecture in the 6900 series. But now there's a 7000 series out. :P Hard to keep up, isn't it?
