Out of Video Memory?

Featured Replies

Everytime i launch GTA, right after it gets done loading, and Niko comes on, my game crashes and says "GTA IV FATAL ERROR: Out of video memory - Please re-boot your system. 179908608 179908608"

I have rebooted my computer, i have reinstalled GTA IV, i have went to Youtube. Nothing worked, and like always, i just came here. How do i get more video memory, or how do i get the message to stop popping up? Thanks for the help.

Do you happen to use any ENB's? I know CryENB has an issue related to this, if you have your settings below high (such as textures). Post your specs too, please. how much VRAM do you have too?

If none of those apply  then try a commandline with -nomemrestrict and -norestrictions. If that doesn't work try -memrestrict [value] (replace the value with whatever texture settings you play with, see the chart here.)

As for the infinite loading, go to your appdata>local>Rockstar Games>GTAIV>savegames and delete the folder(s) in there. Then go to Documents>Rockstar games>GTAIV>saves and do the same, except for ControlMap.
