I've been through everywhere looking for a fix to this problem, and i haven't yet found one.

GTA freezes and crashes halfway through the character slideshow

When i launch it in admin mode, it gets through it fine, but it gives me a "Error in Loader.Loader" and LCPDFR doesn't work

I have tried both Manually and Automatically installing and no difference, also, when i go onto the diagnostic tool and check the installation, i get this "Log Files Checked, See report for more details"

 

im using 1.1 and i have no idea what to do.
(and i have read the instructions)

 

For some reason, it's not letting me upload files or images, so i cant include my logs.

Also, i don't seem to have an "AdvancedHook.log" in my files, is this causing the problem?

Below is some stuff you can try.

1. Re-Install LCPDFR. (Make sure you're setting it up right)

2. If you have any extra mods, try removing them 1 by 1 and keep trying to launch the game.

3. If you have ELS v8 -OR- v8.5 go to your ELS.ini scroll all the way down to

Ai_Els_Sp = on
Ai_Els_Mp = on

& change both to OFF.

Hopefully some of those helped!

​Ive reinstalled LCPDFR several times, no other mods, apart from carmageddon, and thats not even installed.

 

its a recent installation of GTA IV so in not redownloading it.

 

Ill try "verifying integrity of game cache" and see if that works

 

here goes....

If you have any mods remove all of them and then try. Also, try downloading the manual install of LCPDFR.

i already said have no other mods installed and i have tried both manual and automatic installation several times

 

nothing is working and i want to play GTA IV without having to uninstall LCPDFR agian

Does the game still load without LCPDFR?

Also the log files check doesn't matter.

Yes, the game runs fine without LCPDFR, i have no idea what's wrong with it.

​Do you have the right dependencies? AdvancedHook that came with 1.1, ONE either dsound or xlive.dll (Asi loader). Make sure you have This and This installed

Generally the fix for this issue is making sure you have all the C++ Redists, download the one above and this one: here

im downloading the update and seeing if that does anything.

 

i once had LCPDFR working, but that was many years ago.

​Your best bet is somebody who has had the problem before will reply, or you can see one of the 10 or 15 threads regarding this issue, just try the solutions posted there, I found a bunch.

​literally every result on the first page is purple.

i've been to every single topic and had nothing.

 

i remember i had to download a file and that fixed it ages ago but i've lost the thread and i've forgotten the file that i needed to download
