Will my Laptop run GTA V?

Featured Replies

So im new to PC gaming and i got this laptop.  Just not sure weather to buy GTA V or 4.

Here:

HP Pavilion - 15t Laptop

-Windows 8.1 64

- 4th generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210U Dual Core Processor

- NVIDIA GeForce 830M 2GB Discrete Graphics

-8GB DDR3L System Memory (1 Dimm)

-15.6-inch diagonal Full HD WLED-backlit Display (1920x1080)

- 750GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive

A nifty website I found. Simply search up "grand theft auto v" in the search bar, click the game's name or picture, then scroll down to the section that says "Can I run Grand Theft Auto V". It'll let you choose from the specifics of your PC and then tell you if you can run it or not. Hope this helps!

I doubt you could run V with that processor, what's its clockspeed? either way the minimum is a quad core, so that would struggle right there. GPU, yeah no clue, laptops are hard to tell. Allthough your GPU's vram and your normal RAM seem to be enough, even if you managed to get the game running on low I figure you'd have overheating problems, badly. Moral of the story, don't play PC games on a laptop.

I'm sure you could handle IV though, while i do have to warn you it's pretty badly optimized, but with commandline tweaks you could probably run it on a low-medium.

You actually do have a chance on low. My mate has the same GPU and managed to get 25-30 fps all on low. Remember this game is well optimized so you would have a chance. That CPU will hold you back though.
