Looking for Low-Poly ELS Car Packs

Recommended Posts

Hello guys. Topic is self-explanatory. I'm looking for ELS v8.5 enabled low-poly cars. It's okay if it's a mid-poly, but I just don't want to crash once every 5 minutes due to a car having 80k polygons.

P.S.- I was about to post this in Development Support & Requests, but read the rules and it stated to post requests for mods already created in this forum lol.

There are not a lot of ELS v8.5 cars, would be easier to find ELS v8 cars and convert their ELS config to 8.5, takes like five seconds.

That being said, I found this pack to be rather low poly compared to other models on the market: http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/7265-lcpd-fictional-vehicle-package/?tab=comments

Well, I actually have that package, but in OpenIV I opened the Impala and the polygon count was somewhere around 80k.

Can you provide me with a guide to convert that pack into els v8.5?

And should I turn off ai_els_sp and ai_els_mp? My PC Specs are below:

Intel Core i5 4440

Asus GTX 750Ti 2GB GDDR5

8GB RAM

1TB HDD

The conversion from ELS v8 configs to ELS v8.5 is in the ELS v8.5 documentation that is provided with the ELS mod. Also, the poly ammount is less of a problem than the size of the vehicles themselves, since what is causing texture losses is memory usage. For crashes, it might not be the cars only, but the other mods you are using, such as Police Helper for example (largely used by people, yet totally not built to work with LCPDFR since the 1.0). Turning off the AI lights can sometimes solve the crash issue, but it remains rather rare from what I've seen while browsing the forums.

Okay thank you. The pack's awesome. Converted into v8.5. Thanks for your help.

To be honest, this is probably the lowest poly you can possibly get with ELS. (most, like police1 and police2, however not some bigger ones like pstockade) are literal stock cars with HQ textures and ELS, with a slightly different lightbar. I used this one on my laptop and I still use them as a placeholder, if I ever get back into playing lcpdfr frequently I'll probably switch but i think they're great. Heres the pack. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/w4usz31sl5h9ilk/YoQlWcAjkh (Not mine by the way.)

Theres a video on it as well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmEYsWssiUA unless you are happy with what you have, just my suggestion :P

But it's els v6. I had seen it just yesterday, I thought about downloading it but it contained whole vehicles.img... I want to download the cars separately. What files should I download?

You can download the files separate by going to "separate car files" and download whichever ones you want.

It's a bit outdated ELS wise but its works fine, and I've never really crashed using them, despite ELS v6.
