about the vehicles

hello there,

can someone tell me how to costumize the police car templates and replace them with the current templates?

Regards,

NYPD Clan Offical Captain

If you want to change what template a vehicle uses, then you need to edit the file in a 3d modelling program and then make your new template fit the vehicle, which will likely causes things to be stretched out on the new template if you do that.

and im using PhotoShop CS5 it works?

when i edit the templates they appear in 1 image, how i can re-place them with the current?

Well ihave a vehicle file for the polpatriot alright,Im trying to edit the templates of it and re-place them with the current,Is like ineed to make a new look for the vehicle...

The unlocked files usually come with the vehicle files or ......

Then how the LCPD:FR members create vehicle packs and they upload it to the Vehicle Modfaction section?

The problem with default GTA IV vehicles is that they haven't been UV mapped in the same way that most car mods have. The only thing you can really do is put your own writing over the current writing, or your own logo over the currents, and stuff like that. It will be very difficult to do much beyond that.

What exactly are you trying to do?

Do you want to change the template to edit it and make your own skin for it?

Or do you already have a skin that you are trying to use for the polpatriot?

Okay, so you have a skin for the default polpatriot, but it doesn't fit the model properly? So you want to change the template of the polpatriot so the skin you want works on the model?

If that's the case, then you will need to edit the UV mapping of the model, you won't be able to do that without the unlocked files.

Unfortunately, the default GTA IV models aren't unlocked as far as I know.

They use unlocked vehicle models that have been released, however, a GTA 4 Noose Patriot model has not been released as an unlocked model.

If you are talking about skin packs people make, then they use templates that are provided for that vehicle. The Default Polpatriot has been UV mapped in an awkward way which makes it almost impossible to skin properly (aside from changing badges, etc.).
