I was offered to do one while I was in Baltimore. But they prohibited jeans to be worn during ride along and I had no alternative :D However, once I was given a lift to home and the officer (actually a sergeant) who was driving initiated a traffic stop. He then told me to get out and stay away till he finishes talking to the driver.
