GFX D3D ERROR

Featured Replies

Hi, I am just curious if anyone is having this issue at all. Usually about maybe 40-45 minutes the game crashes with this error GFX D3D ERROR. Saying something that something failed to initialize. I am just curious if anyone else has had this problem?

Have you tried re-installing the game and/or verifying integrity of game cache trough Steam?

You can do the latter by right-clicking the game in your inventory and selecting Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity Of Game Cache.

And yes, I had the same problem. The solution mentioned above fixed the issue.

Also, if Chickenify's solution doesn't work,  did you upgrade your GPU (Graphics) drivers? nVidia & ATi released new GTA:V ready drivers just before V's release.

Hi Guys, Yes i have updated my graphics card driver before the release and it's doing it. I also have the DVD version of the game. I have tried running it as admin but no luck. I am wondering if it's a direct x issue maybe? Maybe i should try using direct x 10 instead of 11 in the settings.

I get this error when i overclock my video card to high and my video card drivers stop responding. My question to you is are you overclocking your video card if you are try going lower. If your running your card stock try using different drivers.

Yeah i fixed the problem I have a GTX 650 Ti OC 2GB Edition and it was factory overclocked and i've recently under clocked it and haven't had the issues since. NO Crashing or anything so i am happy. I'm guessing sometimes our video cards are way to overclocked for some video games to handle and so since i under clocked it everything is golden.
