Episodes from Liberty City or Regular GTAIV?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just getting started with this mod. still downloading the game client. I just bought GTAIV on steam but I was curious about how EFLC comes into play. If I don't have EFLC will it cause compatibility issues with playing LCPDFR multiplayer? I'm just wondering and would like to know generally what the community is playing on. Thanks for your responses.

EFLC will not cause any compatibility issues. The only thing you need to look for are things like some scripts and enbs, which require a certain patch. (EFLC and GTA IV run different patches.) Other than that, vehicles and just about anything else will run just fine with or without EFLC.

Don't hesitate to ask any other questions about getting set up. We're more than happy to help out. :)

I prefer IV over EFLC, don't ask why, because i'm not even sure. I guess since it was the first one i bought. LCPDFR in multiplayer isn't very stable since it was made to be more of a singleplayer mod. You can use it in multiplayer, but it's not recommended. You'll experience issues with the game with or without mods, being that GTA IV wasn't a good port to PC. Installing things like car mods and scripts or things like ELS also decrease play ability. I'd recommend staying as stock as you can if you want to play with stability.
