I was thinking today about adding a 'hardcore mode' option, I see this as being a good way to offer players a different and perhaps more challenging way to play whilst at the same time adding even more variety to LCPDFR.

In its simplest form, a 'hardcore mode' would function by having an option in the Configuration File where users could enable or disable 'hardcore mode' (disabled by default). When enabled, LCPDFR would listen for shots fired at the player and should they hit the player, LCPDFR will cause them to do more damage than normal and the same would be true for shots fired by the player. Backup would also be affected by hardcore mode, with backup being restricted and time delays between backup calls.

I like the idea - On PC, there's no need to increase our damage but there is a need to increase the enemy's damage on us.
