Im having an issue getting passed the cousin bellic loading screen when dsound.dll is installed, it just crashes, but when i use xliveless the game works PERFECTLY but i cant go on duty, What is going on?

Can you get through it if you take out both asi loaders, finish a couple missions, save and then put dsound back in?

Do you have a legitimate copy of the game?

With xlivless i can play the game perfectly just not the mod, No i cant i just tried that though and yes i bought the cdrom version at walmart

Did you save your game while on duty?

yes it starts a new game only if im using dsound.dll but with xliveless it takes me to story complete where i the whole game is beat, and no i havent been able to go on duty so far, how does the diagnostic look guys?

hmmm i had that same issue before, try deleting your save game and restarting, i can't remember exactly what to do, it was so long ago

If you want to use dsound then you may need to delete the saved game if its corrupt. Also if you use that make sure you do the 1st mission (drive roman to the apt) then you can save it. As far xlive if you really want to use it make sure your not using an outdated version. Make sure you have the xlive that works with game update 1.0.7.0. If you have an older version then it wont work. Hope that helps

Okay so i took your advice shawn and now i can run the game using dsound but when i press alt+p the screen just blurs and nothing happens

just hit the P key again. It's due to the P key turning on definition (I think that's what its called, going off of memory here) . You can also go into the key settings and make that a different key to stop that from happening.
