Approaching with gun drawn

Featured Replies

So, this is something I've noticed, and even though I don't think it's anything that's designed by LCPDFR devs or R*, it's interesting enough for me to bring it up. When I execute a traffic stop, sometimes I approach with a gun in my hand, just without thinking about it. When I do so, 9 times out of 10, the person takes off as soon as I step into the circle. When I don't have a gun, they take off maybe 3 times out of 10 throughout the course of the entire stop. It might just be coincidence, but it intrigued me, and I wondered if anyone else has noticed anything similar.

I noticed when I don't approach without my gun drawn, the driver is more likely to get out with a gun and shoot me, I always approach now with my gun drawn now.

LOL @ all of you.

Visit me on youtube. The most common reason for crashing is user error. Make sure you have the latest RAGE, ScripthookV, ScripthookVdotnet and turn off your antivirus. Make sure you have an up to date gameconfig.xml as well. Use Allbo's plugin troubleshooter to find any errors too.

I get what your saying here i noticed that to and i find it really frustrating like sometimes they'll say oh woops i ran over a civilian...umm yeah you did and you just violated Code of Conduct there buddy boy. To Serve and protect hahaha. They're protecting the dead pedestrians they ran over in a chase... Like if you want to perform role play in video's look at a police officers hand book.lmao. But yes i understand what your saying sometime's approaching as Code 3 is way over done lol and to unnecessary calls to =D.. But that's only those who download the mod the staff do great on the role play.=D They do a great job making these mods and i want to point out i appreciate your work LCPDFR keep it up!=D

Thats his signature I believe your referencing, although I have to agree with what it says. Sometimes I try to hold to what regs I learned, but I always find myself shooting the fool that hits me while I'm writing a ticket, then I just go on a bad version of dirty harry. Its good fun after a stressful day

Well, I try to always approach with a gun, because when I forget to, more likely than not the drivers start shooting me! That's also a reason why I always try to have a partner on patrol. Do you randomly approach with a gun, or do you approach with a gun only when they have, say, a warrant out for their arrest?

Approaching with your gun in hand is the closest thing we have to being able to act like we have our hanads on our pistol holseter, which is what polic officers do in reality. I think it does increase the chance of a police chase, but that's alright with me since I enjoy police chases more than the average traffic stop, for obvious reasons.
