Any fixes?

I'm afraid we've never encountered this problem before and no one here will know how to fix it. :no:

But seriously

spoonfeeding:

Quick everyone, -rep me for linking him to a dozen other threads with the same problem and solution and also for suggesting he searches the forum before posting! To the bandwagon!

Completely incorrect statement right there. Also, why suggest the search feature when nobody here has encountered the problem before? If no one has had the error then there will be no post about it, but since many people have had this problem. Some people know how to fix it.

@Tboy205

The installer is having trouble writing and creating new files. This is either one of two things:

  1. you are not running the installer as a administrator.
  2. The GTA program files (especially the common + data folders) are read only. Open the properties of those folders and uncheck readonly.

Keep in mind that while it may seem like a joke to you, it may not seem that way to someone else.

Anyway...

I'm not arguing with you dude.

To the OP: Run the installer as an Administrator, and check to see if folders are Read-Only, as Tom stated, and Ekalb linked to.
