Problem With "Extra_7" and "Extra_8" In ZModeler

Featured Replies

Ok, I want to make my self as clear as possible. I am currently making a vehicle package in ZModeler and I am currently working on a CVPI. So, they way I plan on doing my lighting is by having the mirror lights as "Extra_7" and "Extra_8" I then want to put the Extras under each door so the led moves with the door. However, I already did this with my dodge charger and it worked fine. On the CVPI if I make the mirror leds 7 & 8 then the car crashes the game, If I attach the leds to the lightbar then I have no issues (Other than a floating LEDs) which I don't want. Hopefully I was clear enough, If I wasn't then below are some pictures to help clear up the situation

UPDATE: I have switched the places of "extra_7_L0" & "extra_8_L0". GTA no longer crashes at the start of the game but it only crashes when I spawn the car

Instead of just putting the led part directly inside of the door, try putting your leds inside of dummys that then go inside of the door (i.e extra_7 -> extra_7_L0 and extra_7_L1). The game in my experience doesn't like it when you put parts on the exterior of a car w/o a corresponding dummy.

Nope, that still did not work. However below are some pictures of my finished dodge charger. Keep in mind the charger uses the same exact piece of lighting for the mirrors, and in the hierarchy the led part just sits in the door and it works just fine. I decided to do the same with my CVPI but I still get the RC20 error when loading into the game. I compared the hierarchys side by side and they look exactly the same, however the CVPI still crashes and the charger is using the same mirror part and has just the led in the hierarchy just renamed

I normally attach any mirror lights directly to the door_L0 and the door_L1, and I usually don't get any problems with crashing.

If a crash/ error happens, it's something else

You can't physically attach the extra to the door_L0, it won't even flash.

My bad.

I thought he meant the actual mirror light part (Ex: Mini LED, Whelen ION) and not the ELS
