Would it be possible for someone to make a mod so instead of having to pull over a car to get their licence you could just walk up to any stationary vehicle window and request their licence/give citation etc.  This would greatly help with roadblocks and car accidents. For example: Im standing on a street corner and someone is hit by a car, the car doesn't drive away, so I have to point my gun at them to get out the car so I can id them or get in my car and drive up behind themtelling them to pull over just so I can ask for their drivers licence... Would be a great time saver and more realistic to approach a car on foot and do this..   So what you think?

I think, as long as you can get the vehicle to stop, you can use the Check ID function in PoliceHelper to do that. I don't know if it makes them get out or whatever, but I'm going to try it out..

Like you stated, you can point the firearm at the vehicle occupant, get them out of the car.  Then walk up to the ped and check his/her ID while on foot - aim and press/hold E.   You don't have to get in your car and pull them over to do so.

I had police helper but it kept crashing, needs updated for latest release im running. Let me know if you can walk up to a car and request id at the window...  I don't think you can though and I think they would get out the car if it did work to run the animation for handing over id and not use the driver licence one and stay seated. Let me know though please :)

yes but I mean on a realistic level, I think the boss would go nuts if his officer pointed a loaded gun at a woman who just smashed a tail light in a traffic jam to get her out of the car for her drivers licence.  Its a tackleberry moment. Its a small thing but it just bugs me lol.

This isn't a traffic stop, I just parked up behind one of those randomly spawning idling vehicles.

 

I noticed that with the driver you can't perform any actions using PoliceHelper, but you can with the passenger(s).

ok, thanks, shame it doesn't work with the driver, you cant issue them a citation? but definitely worth an older install so I can use police helper and mess around with it, passengers will just have to give the driver a bill. Thanks for that, appreciated.
